We are sometimes asked about why 2mtrust is called “2mtrust”
So we asked Mark Townson;
Mark became a Financial Adviser in September 1992 and working on his own - the business was called “Mark Townson” but it wasn’t very long before the business started to grow.
The addition of administrators and other advisers turned it into a financial services practice and so we started to look for a name for the business.
This was during the “dotcom boom” and everyone was scrambling for the best domain names.
We had to find a business name - where we could also buy the dotcom domain name.
We all got together to choose the name - but had to reject all of the humorous proposals.
We wanted a name which reflected that more and more clients wanted “to entrust” their financial planning to us.
We also saw that clients wanted advice on their

And so these two “m”s helped us become 2mtrust
We love the name because we are always humbled when someone chooses to entrust their advice on their money and their mortgage to us
