Mike Tyson is a man of many talents. With experience in financial services and a background in performing arts, he brings a variety of skills to the 2mtrust team.
Mike supports Financial Adviser Nath Mallery with mortgage applications and other financial administration. But that’s enough shop-talk for now…
We’ve asked Mike some questions so you can get to know him a little better. Read on to find out more…
1. What did you do for a job before coming to work with 2mtrust?
I've been in finance since around 2018, roles including telephone banking, finance, PPI and quality control for business banking.
2. What do you like to do outside of work?
I'm into all things media, TV, movies and video games. I've also been an actor all my life – as I’ve gotten older and “free time” has became shorter, I continue to use my performing arts degree – more like a hobby - through voice acting.
3. What has been your favourite holiday so far?
I went on a Mediterranean cruise and got to visit places like Madeira and Lisbon.
4. Do you have any pets?
Not at the moment, but I have had two African Pygmy hedgehogs in recent years.
5. Do you have a favourite food?
Top 2 has to be pizza and sushi - but not together of course!
6. What is your favourite film, tv show or book and why?
Pulp Fiction is a cult classic. My brother introduced it to me many, many years ago. It's one of those movies I can quote the whole script for.
7. What is your favourite season and why?
Probably Autumn, I prefer it cooler and the colours are gorgeous - plus Halloween and cosy nights in.
8. As a kid, what did you want to do as a job when you grew up?
I always wanted to be a movie actor. It was always my passion, as I grew up it moved into voice. Thankfully – as mentioned above - I can still do that for fun!
9. What advice would you give your teenage self?
You're more capable than you know and many, many people are less capable than you think.
10. What is (or what would be) your karaoke song?
If I actually had the courage to do karaoke, I would probably go with something by Green Day or Jonny Cash
So, did you learn something new about Mike Tyson?
Mike joins a pool of creative people within the 2mtrust team who have a background in performing arts and developed their career into financial services roles. Many of our Paraplanners are operational creatives who find solutions and develop efficient processes to complete tasks effectively – not to mention that our Practice Principal was once a professional clown!
