Jamie Linton joined 2mtrust in 2025 as a Paraplanner and supports Financial Adviser Dan Cassidy with various administrative responsibilities.
Jamie has always got a smile on his face – he has definitely hit the ground running and slotted straight into the team.
We asked Jamie a few questions about life outside of work - read on to find out what makes him such a happy-chappy…
1. What did you do for a job before coming to work with 2mtrust?
I worked as a ‘Mentor’ at a junior school, leading one-to-ones with pupils as part of providing additional, ‘solutions-focused’ pastoral support. This equips pupils to navigate the various challenges they encounter, both in and out of school, and thrive amidst them.
2. What do you like to do outside of work?
In my spare time, I like to play an array of sports – darts being chief among them, but also tennis, squash, badminton, golf, football, karting, snooker and pool.
To relax, I also love just having dinner with friends and putting my feet up in front of the TV – more often than not, the F1!
I’m also involved in helping out with the student ministry and baby crèche at my local church.
3. What has been your favourite holiday so far?
Pretty much any of my trips to London for the West End shows.

4. Do you speak any other languages?
I’d say no, but others might tell you I can speak fluent Gibberish…
5. Do you have a favourite food?
A nutritious, delicious vegetable pizza for savoury, followed by some palette-cleansing breakfast cereal for sweet.
6. What is your favourite film, tv show or book and why?
TV Series? “24” - all day long – no pun intended…
Book? “The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry” because, as much as anything, I just found it interesting, but it also taught me the value of balance in how we use our time and what that looks like in the everyday.

7. What is your favourite season and why?
Summer for outdoor sports, winter for time with friends and family around Christmas.
8. What is your favourite colour?
I like greens and blues best so probably teal for the combo.
9. What advice would you give your teenage self?
Follow Jesus!
10. What is (or what would be) your karaoke song?
If I had the voice for it, I would opt for “Life Is A Highway” by Rascal Flatts, but in the absence of the required vocal talent, it’s got to be anything World Cup 2010 – “Wavin’ Flag” by K’naan or “Waka Waka” by Shakira
