James Salt is a Financial Adviser with a super-power! Can you guess what that may be?
Since joining 2mtrust in 2022, James has quickly become one of the most encouraging and enthusiastic members of the team, cheering both colleagues and customers along their journey in life. And he’s no different when he’s helping clients with finding the more suitable solutions for their financial planning.
But that’s enough shop-talk for now!
We’ve asked James some questions so you can get to know him a little better. Read on to find out more…
1. What did you do for a job before coming to work with 2mtrust?
I was a Pensions Administrator – taking care of clients, ensuring their information was up to date and worked alongside authorised Financial Advisers to make sure they had the information requested in a timely manner.
2. What do you like to do outside of work?
I am married to my wonderful wife and we have 2 young children. I love spending time with my family – some of my favourite places to go are the English heritage sites..
3. What has been your favourite holiday so far?
Last Summer we went to the Lake District with our wider family – it was really special to spend quality time all together in one big farm house!

4. What is your favourite meal of the day?
Dinner – I’d always prefer a hot meal to a cold meal and I’m not that fussed about breakfast – unless it’s a big full English, of course!
5. What is your favourite film, tv show or book and why?
I don’t have a specific favourite but I do like something that makes me laugh and smile – something happy!
6. What is your favourite season and why?
Spri-mmer – this is when we get perfect weather around June-ish. It’s not too hot, not too cold. Rained a few days ago and now the sun is shining… And it makes everyone feel happy.

7. Do you speak any other languages?
I studied French, Spanish and German at school – but don’t remember any of it though…
8. Do you have a life/family motto?
“Quid Non Deo Juvante” which means “what can man not do with God’s help.”
We have this on our family crest
9. What advice would you give your younger self?
It may feel like there are mountains ahead of you that are unsurpassable.
It may feel like there are pages of writing yet to be written and you can’t even get your first words out.
But your dyslexia is a super-power!

It’s not about the words swirling around on a page. It’s not about you trying to get-to-grips with paragraphs and sentences.
It’s your creativity that matters! Your ability to join things together that people miss.
We all have a purpose in this life. Don’t miss yours.
10. What is (or what would be) your karaoke song?
Ronan Keating: “Life is a Rollercoaster”
So, did you learn something new about James Salt?
It is a pleasure to have James on the 2mtrust team – his enthusiasm and experience are tremendous both when he is advising clients as well as a key member of our business.

“Like many of our advisers James was a client of 2mtrust for many years – we then asked him if he would like to join us and train as a Financial Adviser – and were delighted when he said “Yes!”” – Mark Townson, Practice Principal
